More Libraries Connected with Cacadu

 

The “Connect with Cacadu project” which provides free internet and email services at libraries, as well as a range of applications to assist communities to access important information, has now been rolled out to nine of the fourteen libraries in the District, namely:

 

Jeffreys Bay

Fitzpatrick, Addo

Port Alfred

Horseshoe, Graaff-Reinet

Kroonvale, Graaff-Reinet

Freestone, Bathurst

Paterson

Humansdorp

Kruisfontein

 

 All fourteen libraries will be connected by the end of May 2009.

 

The Cacadu DM has made application to the Department of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture for a further grant to connect 10 more libraries during the 2009/2010 financial year. Priority will be given to libraries in those municipalities where the project has not yet been installed.
